I am  ...

I am the source of all energy in the universe
I am the light in the bright sum
I am the darkness in the night
I am the sound in every voice
I am the taste in every liquid
I am the thought in every mind
I am the feeling in every touch
I am the seer in every sight
I am the colour in every painting
I am the fragrance in every flower
I am the knowledge in every intelligence
I am the age in the old
I am the youth in every child
I am the maturity in the growth
I am the bliss in every joy
I am the experiencer in every experience
I am the breath in every life
I am the life force in every living aspect of creation

- Pdt. Munelal Maharaj

I asked God to Bless you!

I asked the Lord to bless you
As I prayed for you today
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way....
His love is always with you
His promises are true,
And when we give Him all our cares
You know He will see us through
So when the road you're travel
ling on
Seems difficult at best
Just remember I'm here praying
And God will do the rest.

Prayer Before Starting Work

My Dear Lord as I enter this work place.
I speak your peace, your grace, your mercy, and your perfect order into
this office.
I acknowledge your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided,
and done within these walls.

O Lord, I thank you for the gifts that you have blessed me with.
I commit to using them responsibly in your honor.
Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job.
Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy, so that even my smallest
accomplishment may bring your glory.

O Lord, when I am confused, guide me.
When I am weary, energize me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the
light of your spirit.
May the work that I do and the way that I do it bring faith, joy, and
a smile to all that I come in contact with today. And Oh Lord, when I
leave this, place, give travelling mercy.

Bless my family and home to be in order as I left it.
O Lord, I thank you for everything that your have done, evdrythi9ng you
are doing, and everything you are going to do.
In your name, O Lord I pray, with much love and thanksgiving.
OM Shanti! Shanti! Shanti!

From "Death and The Soul's Journey"

His Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of him
As gone away....
His journey's just begun.
Life holds so many facets...
This earth is only one...
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loves is ever lost...
And he has loved so much.

E. Brenneman

Two Days We Should Not Worry

There are two days in every week, about which we should not worry,
two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.

We cannot undo a single act we performed;
we cannot erase a single word we said.
Yesterday is gone forever.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow
with all its possible adversities, its burdens,
its large promise and its poor performance;
Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise,
either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.
Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow,
for it is yet to be born.

This leaves only one day, Today.
Any person can fight the battle of just one day.
It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities
Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad,
it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday
and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

Let us, therefore,
Live but one day at a time.

Be Thankful for What You Have!!

Should you find something on your dinner plate that doesn't appeal to you, don't complain. There are people who don't have anything on their plate.

Should you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair.

There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work, think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad, think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend, think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance, think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror, think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities, remember, things could be worse. You could be them!

Should you decide to send this to a friend, you might brighten someone's day!

The more you give, the more you get
The more you do unselfishly
The more you live abundantly.
The more of everything you share,
The more you laugh, the less you fret.
The more you'll always have to spare.
The more you love, the more you'll find
That life is good and friends are kind.
For only what we give away,
Enriches us from day to day.

I asked for Strength ... and God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom ... and God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity... and God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage ... and God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love ... and God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors ... and God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ... I received everything I needed!
May your path be bright and full of light everywhere you go.
And, I pray your feet will never stumble out of God's plan.
May the desires of your heart come true.
And may you experience Peace in everything you do.
May Goodness, Kindness and Mercy come your way.
And, may you gain Wisdom and grow in the Lord everyday.
Be blessed!

You Are The Light - Sri Vasudeva

Each dawn, my friend, You seek the light

And wish and pray, For divine insight.

In books you search, For wisdom's light

Yet the truth you seek, Eludes in seeming flight

You seek the light of love, In the company you befriend

But love's true thirst, Just never seems to end.

In solitude you search, For peace of mind

Yet nurture restless thoughts, Of every kind

Joy you seek, To brighten your day

But sorrow's shadow, Is never far away.

Wake up, my friend, You search in vain

For what already lies, Within your own domain

You are the light, This you must know

Uncover your pristine soul, That makes your being glow

Deep peace will flow, Great wisdom will dawn

A glorious joy you will know, A loving spirit reborn.

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to everyone you meet.

To make everyone you know feel that there is something good in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble in your mind.

... Christian D. Larson

Believe In Yourself

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be,

....that's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better.

There are times when people disappoint you and let you down,

but those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself and all that you are capable of.

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life,

and it is up to you to accept them.

Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are, So when the days come that are filled with frustration
and unexpected responsibilities,

remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be, because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

Keep believing in yourself.

Whatever our hands touch -
We leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture
On doorknobs, dishes, books.
There's no escape.
As we touch we leave our identity.

Wherever I go today
Help me leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion
Of understanding and love.

Heartprints of kindness
And genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor
Or a runaway daughter
Or an anxious mother
Or perhaps an aged grandfather.

Send me out today
To leave heartprints.
And if someone should say,
"I felt your touch,"
May they also sense the love
that is deep within my heart.

Make it a habit to be happy.

Make it a habit to be happy

.. and be useful to others.

Rise up every morning, telling yourself that "Today will be a happy day".

Say "I believe I will handle any problems successfully today. In fact! I believe something good will happen to me!".

Be grateful to be alive.

Give thanks to whatever you have had, for all that you now have and all that shall be given to you. Thank God for every good things..

Help others and guard your mouth. If there's nothing good to say, be silent. There's significant power in it.

Enjoy the wild daffodils by the roadside. Hug trees. Get drenched in rain.

I hope you'll enjoy your life to the fullest.

Always remember: Happiness lies in the journey - not the destination.

Prayer For Peace

Send Thy peace, O Lord, which is perfect and everlasting,
That our souls may radiate peace.
Send Thy peace, O Lord, that we may think, act and speak,
Send Thy peace, O Lord, that we may be contented and
    Thankful for Thy bountiful gifts.
Send Thy peace, O Lord, that amidst our worldly strife we
    may enjoy Thy bliss.
Send Thy peace, O Lord, that we may endure all, tolerate all
In the thought of Thy grace and mercy.
Send Thy peace, O lord, that our lives may become a divine
vision, and in Thy light all darkness may vanish.
Send Thy peace, O Lord, our Father and Mother, that we
Thy children on earth may all unite in one family.

... Pir Inayat Khan

Blessings in Disguise

When our hearts are full

and our lives rich with blessings,

we sing praises to God.

How easy that is to do....

When our hearts are heavy

and our lives seem thick with remorse,

we cry out to God for help.

How easy is that to do....

The test of faith comes

when our hearts are broken

and we turn to God in thanksgiving.

Not so easy to do...

But our souls are strengthened

as we live in faith, trusting in

the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen.

Gratitude and faith help us

create a better experience of life.

We can come to honour every challenge

as a blessing in disguise,

and sing praises to God no matter what.
